Summary:
Plan, schedule, coordinate and track the flow of hardware and material throughout the manufacturing process, including fabrication, assembly, test and shipment; position controls jobs of lower level complexity, shorter turn-around times and single programs.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Ensures that all materials, supplies, and equipment received for production are processed and distributed in a timely manner to the production department.
  • Generates schedules, travelers, flow sheets and other tools for tracking Work In Progress (WIP); generates WIP Master report regarding status of hardware; generates work orders using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Maintains configuration and serial control of production hardware.
  • Ensures the generation of pick lists,  Total Quality Assurance 27 procedure (TQA 27) and other shipping documents as required.
  • Flag production problems and coordinate resolution through appropriate support and management personnel.
  • Writes rework instructions for kit splits and routing changes;
  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
  • Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions for improvements.
  • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving.
  • Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team support as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Performs work of lower complexity on single programs.
Minimum Job Qualifications: (The following qualifications can be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or vocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
  • Two (2) years of materials related experience within a manufacturing environment specific to production control, preferred; High School Diploma, required; Associate’s degree, a plus;
  • Communication skills: ability to receive messages by telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to read, interpret and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions as well as technical publications; communicate across organizational levels; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities;
  • Computer skills:  working in a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows like interface using Power Point, Excel and Word software programs; ability to use computer-aided design software suites;
  • Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Analytical skills: review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities;
  • Time Management and organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality;

Security:
  • May be required to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship.
