Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The following qualifications can be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or vocational training as noted or as appropriate.
  • Perform Lab testing and characterize RF components using RF test equipment.
  • Applies knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve problems with RF circuits.
  • Works with a senior electrical engineer to evaluate and co-design RF circuits.
  • Reads schematics to interpret RF circuits and assemble from schematics.
  • Use RF layout special concepts from schematics and component size variations to fit given footprint in housings, i.e. solder components in small confines.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coil winding; Air and small toroids, ferrites
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education Experience Requirements:
  • 2+ years relevant experience
  • Associate’s Electrical Engineering Degree preferred or a combination of education and work experience.
  • Manual dexterity with small tools, microscope, Surface Mount and Printed Circuit board assemblies.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Government Security Clearance:
  • J-STD-001 and IPC-610 certified is preferred or to be capable of passing the certifications.
Computer Skills:
  • Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office software.

  • TEAMWORK/COOPERATION: Actively communicate, practice and promote teamwork among department members and all Cobham employees.
  • SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL AND SECURITY: Comply with and support all aspects of Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) and Security activities and policies at Cobham. This position may require SHE related training as required by federal, state, local and company requirements.
