Cobham Aviation Services have an exciting opportunity for a B2 Licensed Engineer to work on our helicopter fleet of aircraft. The individual will have a current type rating on either/ both the Bell 212 or 412 aircraft and have no license restrictions.


The position reports to the Chief Engineer, and comes with housing, cost of living and school allowances as applicable/appropriate.


This role is based in Brunei and requires occasional travel for detachments.


As a B2 Licensed Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Hold a current unrestricted B2 License
  • Type rated and experience working on the Bell 412/212

  • Ability to obtain a UK security clearance if not already vetted.

  • Recent experience of working within an aviation environment

  • Computer literate on Microsoft based systems
  • Familiar with aircraft maintenance control and management systems

  • Good working knowledge of H & S policies and procedures

  • All applicants must be capable of passing a security clearance

  • Experience of working within commercial organisations

  • Part 145 Initial Human Factors Trained

As a B2 Licensed Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Carrying out certification and conducting all maintenance tasks on Helicopter Services aircraft IAW Approved Data contained within OEM Maintenance Manuals, requirements of Part 145, Helicopter Services Maintenance Organisation Exposition or any other company procedures.

  • Supervision of NCE and non-technical staff allocated to them by the Shift Supervisor for specific maintenance and/nor non-maintenance related tasks.

  • Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of the work place.

  • Ensuring compliance with established Tool Control procedures.

  • Reporting of unserviceability through company documentation to Aircraft, Systems and Services identified to them or by them during the course of their duty.

  • Secondary duties allocated to them by the Shift Supervisor or superiors. For example but not limited to, Battery Bay, Publications, Tool Inventories etc.

  • Ensure that they adhere to all HR policies and procedures as defined within the HR and Company Administration Manual.

  • Ensure that they adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety policies, procedures, and safe working practices.

  • Actively promote the Helicopter Services Safety Management and Occurrence Scheme through proactive, open and timely reporting. Reporting any incidence or occurrence that may affect flight safety, endanger persons or lead to unsafe conditions.
