Cobham Antenna Systems are seeking to recruit a  Project Planner. The Project Planner is responsible for working closely with Programme/Project Managers, Technical Experts and the Bid teams in creating and managing project plans & schedules. Works closely with others in linking critical activities across multiple projects and providing accurate resource forecasts at the Portfolio level. Creating and publishing high level integrated master schedules PMO Manager (function)

Role reports to the PMO Manager (function) and Programme/Project  Manager (day to day)

Based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire

Our technology

At Cobham Antenna Systems, we design and manufacture active and passive avionics antennas and electronic control systems for military and civil communications, navigation and search and rescue applications.  We pioneered frequency agile VHF tuneable antennas and continue to be a key supplier to major avionics companies.  Our GPS anti-jam technology utilises state of the art DSP algorithms with an active antenna to eliminate both narrow-band and wide-band jamming signals.  We have world leading technology in Ground Penetrating Radar and RF interference mitigation. Both military and civil users rely on our direction finding systems for search and rescue operations.


As a Project Planner your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Degree Qualified and experience working in project teams

Highly numerate and analytical

Expert user of Microsoft Project 

Knowledge and demonstrable experience of PPM techniques

Key Measures

Completion of project reports and analysis accurately, on time and within cost to the required quality parameters.

Provision of consulting services in areas of specialism

Generation and delivery of all required project metrics/reports to the Cobham standards and in a timely fashion


As a Project Planner your main responsibilities will involve:


Coordinates and tracks multiple key projects and tasks.


Performs as a lead scheduler while assisting department with change projects. 


Maintains a resource loaded and networked program schedule for on-going and change projects that can be utilized to analyse resource allocations, mission completion dates, and “what if” analysis.


Tracks and updates personnel and projects progress and critical path on a daily basis.


Creates tracking reports for various levels of management.


Coordinates project schedules and recommends appropriate lead-lag times.


Highlights and provides support for resource management.


Provides forward looking schedule analysis to Leadership.


Interfaces between PMO Leads and Programme/Project to gather data and adjust scheduling parameters.


Contributes to Bid proposal preparation efforts.


 Performs other duties and assignments as required.
