ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Designs, fabricates, modifies, evaluates, verifies, and documents test systems to produce or improve company products and facilitate manufacturing operations with an understanding of semiconductor ICs
•Continuously work to improve core competencies, develop test solution proposals, develop DfT design for test and DfM design for manufacturing plans, develop test solutions, model and evaluate device, test, and system models, and provide initial test support until release to production.
•Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results
•Perform IC Test Engineering duties including, but not limited to, analysis of IC designs, design for test, hardware and software development for ATE automated test equipment, characterization, and initial support of production thru qualification activities.
•Extensive Experience with measurement equipment: Spectrum Analyzers, Source Meters, Power Supplies, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Multi-Meters and other test equipment as necessary to perform circuit characterization.
•Able to read and understand customers’ specifications and translate these requirements into detailed electrical test and characterization specifications.
•Occasionally reviews potential customers’ specifications, and provides inputs on feasibility, schedule, and costs to perform the design of such a project to support proposal generation for new business.
•Occasionally generates a characterization test plan, the performance of which is used to validate the entire integrated circuit or portions of such integrated circuit.
•HW development (load boards, probe cards, evaluation cards) for ATE or lab and occasionally design printed circuit boards (PCB’s) for use in the characterization of analog and/or mixed-signal integrated circuits designed, using EDA tools such as but not limited to Cadence Allegro, and has such PCB’s assembled using contract assembly companies.
•Participates in weekly meetings with a cross-functional Product Development Team (PDT) and/or customer to report on design progress.
•Occasionally travels to customers’ or potential customers’ facilities to participate in customers’ design reviews.
•Provides weekly progress reports of design and characterization activities.
•Occasionally performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
•A Bachelor’s Degree (BSEE) or (BS) equivalent in other engineering, physical science, or mathematics is required.
•Two (2)+ years of experience in performing IC Test Engineering duties including, but not limited to, analysis of IC designs, design for test, hardware and software development for ATE automated test equipment, characterization, and initial support of production thru qualification activities.
•Two (2)+ years of experience with measurement equipment: Spectrum Analyzers, Source Meters, Power Supplies, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Multi-Meters and other test equipment as necessary to perform circuit characterization.
•Two (2) + years of experience with reading and understanding customers’ specifications and the ability to translate these requirements into detailed electrical test and characterization specifications.
•Two (2) + years of experience with LabView and/or Test Stand.

Preferred Job Requirements:
•Master’s Degree (MSEE), PhD in EE, or equivalent MS, PhD in other engineering, physical science, or mathematics with related experience is highly desirable.
