The Tool and Die Manual Machinist will plan, layout, set-up, operate and make tool adjustments to cut and shape all types of metals using manual (e.g., lathes, millers and grinders), numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment. They will work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks.
· Machining aluminum and brass parts.
· Qualifying and machining brazed assemblies and castings using Manual Milling Machines with Proto Trak and Mill Power controls.
· Should be able to machine assemblies and piece parts to .001 tolerance.
· High School diploma (or equivalent)
· Must be able to prove US Citizenship
· Prior experience in microwave field
· Knowledge of machining waveguides
· Should be familiar with geometric tolerances
· Background in trigonometry
· Basic computer skills
· Good manual dexterity
