Cobham Wireless are looking for an Electro Mechanical Assembler For this role you will ideally have experience of electrical and mechanical assembly with the ability to work from schematics.

About Cohham Wireless
Cobham Wireless develops, manufactures and sells DAS (Distributive Antenna Systems) solutions and digital repeaters to the cellular and public safety worldwide markets.
The UK Engineering team focuses mainly on patented DAS and digital repeater solutions.
The R&D team in the UK consist of circa 20 system architecture, hardware, software and firmware, and mechanical engineers and programmers developing the next generation DAS and digital repeaters including on–board train repeaters.
The engineering team provides engineering support to the outsourced production lines.
Technology includes: RF, digital, software and mechanical design and development, cellular and public safety technologies, wireless system engineering, providing cellular and public safety standards and certification processes.
As a Electro Mechanical Assembler your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Electronics background or light manufacturing experience is desirable.
- A good awareness of SHE issues.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Basic IT Skills (Word, Excel)
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Good timekeeping skills.
- Good team player
As a Electro Mechanical Assembler your main responsibilities will involve:
Ability to assemble electrical bench size and free standing floor enclosure type builds
Ability to use small power tools and basic electrical meters
Understanding of Wiring Looms
Ability to record/document build
Ensure all relevant paperwork pertaining to each job is completed in full and the immediate work area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness
Carry out tasks as delegated by the Production Supervisor
Suggest continuous improvements
