AVIATOR HGA-6500 offers the smallest swept volume available for a mechanically-steered High Gain Antenna and provides multi-channel SwiftBroadband service for a range of applications. As a highly robust, mechanically-steered SwiftBroadband, Swift64 and Aero H/H+ Satcom antenna, AVIATOR HGA-6500 is suited to helicopters and slower flying aircraft, and is specifically designed for external mounting with a fairing. No additional radome is required.
Designed with an integral Beam Steering Unit (BSU) with ARINC 429 interface, HGA-6500 accepts steering commands directly from any ARINC 741 compatible Satellite Data Unit. This eliminates the need to install a separate Antenna Control Unit (ACU) or BSU, reducing system box count and improving empennage weight distribution and installation simplicity.
Ensuring increased reliability and connectivity, AVIATOR HGA-6500 provides high data rates to allow users to take advantage of the latest technologies provided by their SwiftBroadband service. AVIATOR HGA-6500 provides a higher gain than single helix antenna designs and excess gain can be used for longer RF cable runs between antenna and DLNA, supporting installation flexibility.
