Cobham is seeking a Configuration / Data Management Coordinator to support and maintain the configuration and data management processes and systems under the supervision of the Drafting Manager. Perform various Document Control activities related to Engineering, Program and Project technical data and configuration management. Review, provide advice and support the configuration and data management processes to ensure all regulatory, quality and internal company requirements are adhered to for documentation in a defense electronics design and manufacturing company. Maintain and control data integrity within an Agile PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.
JOB SUMMARY (Essential Responsibilities & duties):
Under supervision, provides data management (DM) support for multiple programs and projects including, but not limited to, the duties listed below:
Process contractual deliverables and related activities, maintaining on-time delivery record. The tasks may include notifications to the stake holders, coordination of the delivery of activities between internal and external data management systems, monitoring the deliverable process, updates and maintaining CDRL and SDRL status reports
Process non-deliverable data requests
Supports data management workflow approval processes
Provide data marking guidance from contractual, legal and internal organizational requirements guidance to the user community for contract data deliverables and deliverable data
Maintain the CDRL delivery matrix, identifying authors, approvers, reviewers, delivery schedule and frequency, stakeholder notifications set-back information, etc.
Maintain CDRL supporting data, internal approval records, submission and acceptance records. Develop contract deliverables reports
Prepares data management procedures and work instructions in support of the program management plan
Support program meetings and provide inputs and requirements for metadata information
Maintain the program data environment, perform records management tasks in compliance with organizational records retention policies
Manage accounts and permissions to the program data environment
Provides data management support to program management and engineering management activities and events
Support the delivery of the technical data package (TDP) and maintenance of the TDP elements
Support ISO,ANSI, ASME, customer, quality and corporate audits
Attend and actively participates in program or project specific huddles and various meetings as they relate to configuration management
Coordinate departmental and functional meetings for training on configuration management and user training within the Agile PLM system
Has worked on problems of a diverse scope associated with the configuration and data management of unique custom assemblies.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (The following qualifications can be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or vocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
Must be able to obtain a US Government Security clearance. An active clearance is a plus.
A strong understanding of the fundamentals of configuration and data management
An Associate Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor’s Degree is a plus. Formal training in Configuration Data Management is preferred.
5 or more years of relevant configuration and data management experience
Knowledge of some of the following standards
EIA-649B Configuration Management
ANSI/GEIA-859: Data Management
ASME Y14.100 and MIL-STD-100 along with various ASME specifications referenced within these standards.
ISO 10007 Guidelines for Configuration Management
AS91000 requirements associated with configuration and data management
CMMI processes and methods
The ability to read and interpret government/industry standards and specifications
The ability to read and interpret engineering documents, drawings and BOM’s (Bill of Materials) for the purposes of configuration and data management
An understanding of engineering change order effectivity and implementation methods
An understanding of the various classifications of engineering changes.
Broad understanding of DOD contract artifacts such as the SOW, contract attachments, CDRLs, SDRLs, DIDs, categories of technical data, non-technical program data, etc.
Experience with an Agile PLM is highly desirable, along with a strong knowledge of objects and workflows.
A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software and databases
Experience with CAD applications. SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience is preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and customers.
Familiarity with an SAP or equivalent ERP system
