Cobham is seeking a Network Engineer, to be responsible for day-to-day running and monitoring of the networks throughout the enterprise diagnosing and remediating problems as necessary. Assessing new network requirements and designing appropriate solutions. Managing solutions which include LAN, WAN, WIFI, VPN, device authentication and Voice.  Will build and deploy new networks as required.  Will provide technical support and design on the future growth of the global enterprise network.  This position is located in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assist the Senior Network Analyst with day to day network related activities.
  • To become the first point-of-contact for the network team to internal customers
  • In the absence of the Senior Network Analyst, to take responsibility for all network related issues.
  • To assist, where required, other members of the team with operational duties.
  • Develop new network solutions to fit the requirements of the business and IT security strategy.
  • Must be conversant in Network Security principles and practices.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible, able to work within a small team.
  • Must have a willingness to learn new technologies.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+  years’ experience with Cisco 3850, 4500, 6500, ISRv2 routers, Nexus.
  • Cisco CCNA
  • 5+ years CISO environment
  • 5+ years experience with OSPF, BGP, Netflow
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US.  In order to be eligible you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Cisco CCNP.  
  • Any Juniper certification.
  • 1 year experience with Juniper EX switches.
  • 1 year experience with SSL VPN technologies.
  • 1 year experience with RSA Secure ID.
  • Preferred Palo Alto with network integration
  • Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco switches, routers and wireless solutions.
  • Working knowledge and experience of configuration management and ITIL best practice.
  • Experience with Network Management solutions, ideally Cisco Prime, ISE and ManageEngine.
  • ISE is desirable
