Cobham is a partner in the ASTRAEA consortium, a pioneering aerospace programme which addresses key technological and regulatory issues in order to open up non-segregated airspace to UAVs.

As part of the ASTRAEA programme, Cobham has commissioned a Relative Motion Robotics Centre at the University of Bristol.  The robots are used to research and test Cobham's Sense and Engage technology that is being developed to aid the refuelling of unmanned aircraft.
