Our Approach
Our Strategy; We are currently reviewing our CR strategy and we aim to start implementation during 2009. In particular, we have recognised that we can improve in coordinating all our stakeholder engagement activities and ensuring robustness in our data collection systems. It is likely that these two areas will become key elements of our new strategy towards our achieving best practice in our sector.
Our first step has been to appoint a Director of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability dedicated wholly to supporting this objective. Much work has already been done in a short period to review our entire CR programme and we eagerly look forward to embarking on our new journey with greater resolve than ever before.
Our Focus Areas
Cobham has six focus areas and their associated performance indicators support the achievement of Cobham’s strategic objectives. These focus areas are:
- Staff Safety
- Supply Chain
- Anti-Corruption
- Carbon Footprint
- Waste Reduction and Recycling
- Chemicals & Hazardous Materials
While we will continue to collect data covering a broad range of CR issues throughout our business, our resources are currently targeted towards the implementation of initiatives and performance improvement in these six focus areas.
