Cobham will deliver an upgraded version of its RDS1600 Radar Display to Estonian Air Traffic Control Centre.
Basingstoke: Cobham Special Mission has
announced today that it has been awarded a €1.2M contract to
provide an upgraded version of its RDS1600 Radar Display System for
use at Estonia Air Navigation Services' (EANS) Air Traffic Control
Centre (ATCC). The RDS1600 is an Air Traffic Control system and has
been used by EANS since the mid 1990s. The system has
completed several updates since then and this latest announcement
represents the third additional contract and installation.
Under the contract, the system will provide 12 operator positions
and Cobham will provide onsite training on the upgraded system to
the operators at the ATCC.
Cobham Special Mission Vice President, Darren Moncrieff said
"The Cobham RDS1600 for Air Traffic Control system is in use at 120
military and civilian sites around the globe. We have been working
closely with EANS to provide enhanced capability and improved
