AESA technology offers significant gains in reliability over previous radar system technologies.  Cobham's modular sub-array T/R electronics architecture minimizes radar system failures.  A single element of module failure has minimal effect on the operation of the system as a whole.


Applications include: Sense and Avoid  (SAA), Detect and Avoid (DAA),  Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI),  Counter Rocket Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and electronic warfare (EW) systems.
