The Advanced Technology Support Program (ATSP) is a
government-wide contract vehicle that is pre-competed and
incorporates pre-negotiated labor rates, thereby reducing bid and
proposal requirements, and enabling contract awards in four to six
weeks. ATSP is administered by the Defense Microelectronics
Activity (DMEA), an Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
The latest release of the program, ATSP4, is designed to resolve
problems with obsolete, unreliable, unmaintainable,
underperforming, or incapable electronics hardware and software
through development of advanced technology insertions and
ATSP4 seeks to develop a quick reaction capability to advanced
technologies necessary to keep military systems operational,
elevate their sophistication levels, and meet new threats.
