The Microclimate Cooling System (MCS) or MTS with heating, is a self-contained vapor compression cycle cooling system. This is the unit of choice for the US Army's Air Warrior program. Over 18,000 systems have been fielded for use in US military helicopters and US military ground vehicles.
The Microclimate Cooling Unit-High Capacity (MCU-HC) is an enhanced 2-person drop-in replacement for the MCU. Its increased cooling capacity and small footprint make it ideal for use in ground vehicles or in aircraft with size/weight restrictions. With an identical base footprint to the MCU, it is a drop in replacement/upgrade for MCU equipped vehicles.
The Multi-Man Microclimate Cooling Unit (MMCU) is a scaled-up version of the highly successful MCU. Capable of cooling 4 to 5 users, it has the capacity to meet total cooling requirements for most vehicle crews. Cooling power is adjustable based on user needs.
