Medical Oxygen
A new standard in oxygen and medical grade air generation that is rugged, highly reliable, lightweight, portable and safe is the Cobham manufactured Patient Ventilation Oxygen Concentrating System (PVOCS).
PVOCS affords the military medical community a safe point-of-use approach for production and delivery of respiratory gases. The availability of medical grade air and oxygen provides the medical practitioner unparalleled flexibility for respiratory treatment in the field. It continuously monitors critical performance related functions: inlet air temperature and pressure, and medical grade air delivery pressure, dew point and carbon monoxide levels.
Complementing the field hospital unit is the airborne system, Aero Medical Oxygen Generating System (AMOGS), which is installed on the air ambulance Medical Evacuation UH-60 helicopter. This system uses OBOGS capability for patient therapeutic use, allowing combat medics to eliminate dangerous and hard to support oxygen bottles in the battlefield or medical evacuation sites.
