Cobham Receives Defense Logistics Agency Contract for Aftermarket Life Support Systems

 

DAVENPORT, IA—Cobham Life Support has been awarded a maximum $18 million, one-year contract to provide crew-breathing regulator overhaul kits by Defense Logistics Agency on a contract written by Defense Logistics Agency - Richmond. This award is the base year of a 5-year long term agreement.  Funding for the option years will be allocated annually.

 

The kits provide critical parts to the Air Logistics Center for overhauling crew breathing regulators bringing them to like-new condition.

 

“This contract will facilitate a smooth, continuous supply of parts to ensure the U.S. Air Force maintains a high level of mission capable aircraft,” said Kelly Coffield, president of Cobham Life Support. “Cobham is committed to supporting our customers and aftermarket sustainment of our products."

 

Cobham is the world leader for service and support of military crew breathing regulators with high reliability to lower product life cycle costs. Cobham Life Support, formerly called Carleton Life Support Systems, Inc, has been manufacturing oxygen breathing systems for aircraft since the 1950s. All work will be performed in Davenport, Iowa.
