The Cobham Sensor Systems X-Band 17W Module is a class A biased GaAs MMIC based design intended for Radar and other pulsed transmission system applications.

It utilises mixed media RF and DC multilayer board design to provide a nominal 17W of output power for various pulse lengths at duty cycles of up to 30%.

It features a CMOS/LSTTL compatible dc gate switching circuit for optimum efficiency. Local dc storage capacitance is included to maintain the integrity of the pulse shape.

Miniature connectors are included for application of the DC supplies and gating pulse.
