Our key resource is our highly skilled and experienced engineering team. With years of design and development of antennas, they will provide antenna solutions to meet specific requirements. These solutions can be achieved through one of three ways:
Antenna Design and Development Programme
If an existing antenna design is not available, we can provide a full antenna design service. The Cobham Antenna Systems (Microwave Antennas) engineering team has a wide range of modeling software to assist their knowledge and experience in the development of new antennas. This allows us to predict the performance of the antennas at an early stage of development and predict how the mounting location can be effected by its environment.
Our engineering workshop provides efficient production of antenna prototypes that can be tested in our near field anechoic test chamber. As the theoretical antenna cannot be guaranteed to perform as expected, it is our normal practice to manufacture prototypes as part of the antenna development programme. Our engineering team will work directly with customers’ technical teams to develop an antenna solution, quickly and cost effectively.
Standard Product Range
There are more than 1000 standard, off-the-shelf designs available to manufacture for customers. Our technical sales team can assist in the selection of the correct antenna for your application.
Antenna Modification
Standard products may not always meet your exact specification but an adjustments to the existing design, such as a changes in connector type, flying lead, colour or ruggedness may be a cost-effective alternative.
