Cobham's capabilities are
offered through a number of Strategic Business Units that are
managed through three Divisions. Each strategic business unit has
an international footprint, the critical mass and most importantly
the talent to provide the distinctive capabilities that our
customers seek.
Cobham's Aerospace and Security Division designs, develops and
manufactures civil and military communications products, enabling
voice, video and data connectivity for land, sea, air and space.
Cobham antennas, communications systems and components serve major
aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and
Embraer, and 20 armed forces. The Aerospace and Security Division
is an acknowledged market leader in tactical communications,
military and homeland security surveillance systems and satellite
communications, with more than 50,000 military land antennas in the
field, 125,000 military intercoms in service with 18 armed forces
and security systems with 140 law enforcement agencies.

Cobham's Defence Systems Division
designs, develops and manufactures critical technology for network
centric and intelligence operations, enabling transmission and
management of information to the digital battlefield and
intelligence services in a secure environment. Cobham radar
products, specialist antennas and microwave subsystems play
critical roles in many of the world's major defense systems and
platforms, including the Aegis radar system, F-35 Lightning II
Joint Strike Fighter and Standard Missile.

Cobham Mission Systems Division
designs, develops and manufactures critical technology for
air-to-air refuelling, weapons carriage and release, life support
and explosive ordnance disposal robot applications and operates
more than 150 aircraft. Cobham is the global leader for air-to-air
refuelling systems worldwide for both tanker and receiver aircraft,
including as the new Royal Air Force Future Strategic Tanker
Aircraft (FSTA) Airbus A330.
The Division also provides weapons
carriage and release equipment and defensive aids for aircraft and
life support equipment including oxygen systems, crew and cargo
restraints and personal cooling systems for helicopters and
armoured vehicles. Cobham Mission Systems operates and maintains
fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft on contracted air warfare
training, flight inspection and maritime surveillance for
government agencies worldwide.
