Slip rings for aerospace use - like helicopter slip rings, especially helicopter main and tail rotor slip rings - are designed to be as light as possible.
Aerospace slip rings are often extremely compact whilst meeting stringent aerospace requirements in terms of reliability and safety.
Their operating environment is severe which makes choice of materials and techniques all-important.

Some examples for the use of aerospace slip rings and helicopter slip rings by way of illustration :
| Equipment | Reference | Description | Detail |
| CT01 | This slip ring is used for centrifugal machines for pilot training. It includes high frequency coaxial cells (>80 dB at 100 MHz). | Data sheet |
| AE01 | This slip ring is fitted on helicopters, the helicopter slip rings allows electrical de-icing of the rotor blades. | Data sheet |
| AE02 | This high density slip ring is fitted on the main rotor of a helicopter. The helicopter slip ring supplies power for de-icing and folding of the blades, and for the navigation lights. | Data sheet |
| AE03 | The slip ring shown here in its de-icing version is mounted on the tail rotor of a helicopter. In addition to de-icing this kind of helicopter slip rings is also used for the critical function of pitch adjustment of the tail rotor blades. | Data sheet |
