These ELTs, offer new features, and still interchangeable with ELT96 / ELT97 family. Conformity with the last European and Americanrequirements, depending on the version :
  1. Technical requirements EUROCAE ED-62 and environmental requirements ED-14E.
    Approved by the European Aviation / Administration (EASA) ETSO 2C/126.
  1. Technical requirements TSO C91a and TSO C126, and environmental requirements DO160E. Approval by the F.A.A., the Federal Aviation administration of the U.S.A.

Conformity with COSPAS-SARSAT ELT specifications C/S T.001 .

General


Radio transmission

    1. 406Mhz / 243Mhz / 121.5Mhz(new radio board, power output and stability in conformity with the standards)

Identification signal and programming

    1. Short messages (112 bits), stored in a programmable memory.
    1. Programming of the identification message with a PC based software, for a complete support of the national and international identification standards.

Installation

    1. Equipment installed in rear passenger cabin or upper rear fuselage.
    2. Remote control unit in the cockpit
    3. Interchangeability with the former ELTs :
    4. ELT96, and ELT97, the ELT90 and 91 too, by replacing the previous remote control panel on the aircraft.
