The Messenger Camera Enclosure (MCE) from Cobham Surveillance (GMS Products) is a specialized hardware accessory which allows GMS's "brick" style transmitters to be installed on a professional camera via the camera's IDX or Anton Bauer battery interface.
A two-line, back-lit LCD (liquid crystal display) provides visual readouts of transmitter frequency, analog video lock status, COFDM mode, COFDM bandwidth, transmitter guard interval, forward error correction (FEC), video input type, audio status, audio gain and backlight status. In addition the front control buttons allows the most common available options to be changed from the front panel. Full TX control is accomplished through either RS-232 or USB-1 via the DB-15 connector using Cobham Surveillance (GMS Products) MS Windows-based SW.
There are four BNC connectors, two audio XLR, one DB-15 connector mounted on an angled rear-panel for easy access as well as one N type connector (RF Out) and one rocker on/off power switch located on the MCE for interfacing the RF, audio, video, power and external signals.
