| Multitrax acquisition On April 2, 2001, GMS completed the acquisition of Multitrax of Mountain View, California. For the past 30 years Multitrax has supplied a variety of high quality low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, frequency multipliers, up-converters and down-converters for the microwave communications market. These products will add to the expanding technology base and product line of GMS as it continues to be the leader in microwave communications.
GMS will incorporate this technology into its larger sales/marketing and manufacturing capabilities to provide wider availability of these technically sophisticated but cost-efficient products. The former owner/chief engineer of Multitrax has joined the GMS technical staff to supervise the expansion of this product line and to ensure that former, and future, customers continue to receive the highest quality technical support and design assistance for which both GMS and Multitrax are known.
