MA Designs acquisition On August 7, 2003, GMS completed the acquisition of “Microwave Antenna Designs, Inc.” of San Diego, California. For the past 23 years ”MA Designs” has supplied a variety of high quality microwave antennas for the microwave communications market. MA Designs has been manufacturing antennas covering the frequency range of 1 to 30 GHz with all types of models such as Omni directional, Horn, Dishes and linear or circular polarized Feeds.
These antennas will add to the expanding technology base and product line of GMS as it continues to offer more of system solution for its customers.
GMS will incorporate this technology into its larger sales/marketing and manufacturing capabilities to provide wider availability of these antennas. The former owner/chief engineer of “MA Designs” has joined the GMS technical staff to supervise the expansion of this product line and to ensure that former, and future, customers continue to receive the highest quality technical support and design assistance.
