Side-by-Side Comparison of Analog FM vs. Digital COFDM

In March 2011, Cobham teamed with UAV manufacturer NAVMAR to demonstrate the improved performance of COFDM technology vs. yesterday's FM technology.

A Cobham 2 Watt COFDM transmitter was mounted alongside a Cobham 10 Watt FM transmitter and driven around a 2 mile course. The COFDM link demonstrated clear superiority in terms of range, non-line of sight capabiltiy, and immunity to multipath.
