The Ginn Resorts sponsored Lightship Group Lightsign blimp made it's video debut at the Daytona 500 NASCAR race in 2007. GMS worked with the blimp media production team to develop a unique advertising experience that is brand new in NASCAR and the airship industry.
The Ginn Resorts Blimp displayed ads and video highlights that were edited and produced on the ground and then sent via GMS 5.8Ghz SDMT COFDM transmitter to a two channel MSR diversity receiver in the Ginn Blimp. This setup allowed the blimp media production team to produce targeted advertising based on the atmosphere and events of the race while on the ground instead of in the airship.
