HD Demo for NBC Sunday Night Football
On Sunday, October 12th, 2008, GMS and Remote Facilities teamed up to demonstrate wireless HD camera capability complete with camera control for Sony HD cameras. The link was used for NBCs live, on-air broadcast of the NFL Sunday Night Football game between the Chargers and Patriots at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA.

| Microwave HD Camera with Wireless Camera Control GMS' CMT (Configurable Messenger Transmitter) was augmented with GMS' new wireless camera control link to provide wireless paint capability to the production staff in the stadium parking lot. Enlarge image |

| Patch Antennas GMS' patch antennas provide 9dB of gain and a 60 x 60 degree beamwidth to enable maximum system range and flexibility. Enlarge image |

| Omni Antennas GMS offers highly efficient omni antennas of various gains to provide 360 degree coverage. In stadium applications, omni antennas take advantage of C-OFDM's ability to thrive in a high multipath environment by picking up signal reflections from various angles in the bowl. Enlarge image |

| MSR Receiver with MRD Decoder Using the MSR's diversity inputs, a combination of antennas can be used to cover large areas such as stadiums. In this scenario, the HDSDI output from the MRD decoder is transported to the production facility in the stadium parking lot over fiber to provide real-time access to the wireless video from the field.
