Tactical C4I
The key to success in any military operation is the ability for soldiers, at the combat level, to directly influence their situation in real time through decisive actions based upon a common tactical picture and accurate situational awareness. Cobham’s Tactical C4I solutions provide soldiers and platforms with a fully integrated, easy to use, Combat Management System that allows mounted and dismounted units to monitor, analyse and react effectively in the chaos of battle. With the Integrated Digital Soldier System (IDSS), BattleHawk Vehicle System (BHVS) and the Eagle Close Combat Radio (CCR) Cobham can offer effective C4I solutions at the combat level.
Cobham’s Tactical C4I capabilities have also been utilised in the Marine Interdiction Operations System (MIOS) which provides secure Situational Awareness and Blue Force tracking for Boarding Parties and Marine Security Patrols. MIOS provides a fast and reliable way to transfer intelligence such as images and video from boarding parties to support vessels, whilst allowing the movements of RHIBs and other units to be securely tracked.
