Cobham Antenna Systems, Microwave Antennas specialize in the design and development of high gain, printed circuit arrays, ultra wideband directional antennas, multi-octave biconical antennas and high gain collinear omni-directional antennas from 100MHz up to 40GHz.
Our objective is to provide a valued service to our customers by ensuring that their expectations are realized.
Manufacturing, development laboratory, spherical near field test chamber and administration offices are located on one site in Cheveley, near Newmarket, UK.
Antenna Design and Development Projects
We undertake antenna development programmes for our customers. From initial concept to finished production, our design engineering service provides cost-effective, technically focused antennas.
Antenna Modification
If a standard antenna is close to your requirements but requires small adjustments, such as a change in connector or colour, these can be undertaken.
Standard Antennas
We have more than 1500 antenna designs available to manufacture. Our technical sales team will assist in the selection of the right antenna for an application.
Manufacture
All our antennas are manufactured at our facility in Cheveley, near Newmarket. Spread over 15,000sq ft, we can manufacture commercial antennas in volume whilst small manufacturing cells provide specialist technical facilities for military and security products.
On-site Testing - Spherical Near Field Test Facility
Our spherical near field test facility provides radiation pattern data to verify specifications. The far field radiation pattern can be calculated in any direction, in any polarisation, and at any angle. Operating within 1.5GHz to 40GHz, the chamber has a quiet zone for antennas up to 1.5m long whilst the turning stage tests antennas up to 130kg. Gain measurements can be provided traceable to international standards.
Our test facility is available for hire to measure and provide calibrated data.
Licensing
A licensed design and manufacturing service is available which will enable a customer to undertake manufacture themselves or use a third party manufacturer. Full project information is provided.
