Division Profile

Kevlin Corporation was incorporated in 1947 as a tool and die manufacturer and precision machine shop, with expertise in producing RF rotary joints and other subsystems. Kevlin Corporation devoted all of its resources to its rotary joint and associated subsystems product line. In 1992, following this trend, Kevlin acquired all of the assets of MAST Microwave - a leading rotary joint design and manufacturing company. This was Kevlin's second acquisition having acquired Aero Microwave several years earlier.

Acquired by Cobham in 1996, Kevlin Corporation is doing business as Cobham Antenna Systems.  The subsequent Cobham acquisitions of Premier Microwave Corporation and Litton Airtron Microwave Products Group further strengthened Cobham Antenna Systems’ position as the World's Foremost and Largest Rotary Joint Designer and Manufacturer.

Facilities

Cobham Antenna Systems (Methuen, MA) is located approximately 30 miles north of Boston and one mile west off interstate Route 93. The 80,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility boasts 20-foot ceilings and houses all of its operations under one roof. There is room for expansion in each department. The facility was created specifically to support the design and manufacture of microwave RF rotary joints, rotating subsystems and devices including pedestals.
