Cobham Technical Services has expertise in developing custom Digital Signal Processing (DSP) solutions ranging from 16-bit fixed point to 32-bit floating point architectures. We specialise in integrating high-speed data acquisition with class-leading processors running native code or a real-time operating system. We have well-established design experience with modern, low-power, fixed-point processors such as Analog Devices' Blackfin family of DSPs, through to high-speed floating-point multi-processor architectures using devices such as the Analog Devices' TigerSharc DSP.
In order to meet and exceed our customers' processing requirements, we specialise in using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) co-processing alongside a single or multi processor DSP architecture. This allows unparalleled processing rates especially with resource hungry repetitive signal processing. We can develop custom algorithms for our customers' applications, optimised in assembler or C, and integrate pre-built algorithms into the application.

We will take your requirement through to an integrated hardware and software prototype, and if required on to small volume manufacture at which point we can produce a drawing pack for subcontract manufacture.
