CAD/CAM etc
Cobham Antenna Systems (Kista) uses CAD/CAM software in the machine shop. CAD data is transferred to the CAM Station and converted to CNC machine software. The software is then transferred, via Local Area Network, to our machine shop’s two-axis, three-axis and four-axis och milling machines.
Machining
Cobham Antenna Systems’ (Kista) machine shop contains numerically controlled machines as well as conventional machines. The machine shop mainly produces experimental prototypes as well as test jigs and fixtures for the production process. The machine shop also works very closely with the engineering department for quick turnaround programs.
Assembly & Test Cobham Antenna Systems’ (Kista) machine shop handles final assembly of single channel rotary joints to very complex multi channel rotary joints with slip rings and integrated inductosyns.
In addition to common microwave and mechanical test equipment, Cobham Antenna Systems (Kista) has equipment for high power tests, random vibration, burn-in, temperature cycling, and low noise measurement.
International Marketing Support
Cobham Antenna Systems (Kista) also provides international marketing and support to European customers for high performance coaxial cables, flat plate antennas and RF subsystems.
