Concerto ES

Concerto ES is the entry level 3D FDTD analysis module. Using the same 3D Geometric Modeler as all other Concerto modules, it is an excellent starting point for people requiring professional 3D RF and microwave analyses.

The FDTD method is used which has proved to be the most efficient technique for a wide range of RF and microwave devices. In addition, the Finite Element and the Moment Method analysis modules are available as options.

The price is kept low in Concerto ES by limiting the number of cells that can be used (500,000), and omitting the Prony and Multi-Thread options. With conforming elements, the FDTD algorithm is still highly efficient, and Concerto ES still outperforms many of its rivals.

Benefits

Concerto ES is an excellent choice for designers who are new to using virtual prototype software. The benefits to the design engineer include reduced lead time, speed to market, as well as the ability to perform "what if" design changes. Radical designs can be evaluated quickly and efficiently, allowing revolutionary design changes to be a realistic option, rather than evolutionary changes.

With an inexpensive introductory package, a designer can gain confidence in design software, with the knowledge that in the future the full Professional software base is available with an easy upgrade path.
