About Us

Acquired by Cobham in 1996, Continental Microwave is doing business as Cobham Antenna Systems.  Located in Exeter, NH, it was originally founded in 1977 as Continental Tool Company, specializing in microwave-related precision machining and manufacturing.  In 1981 Continental Microwave Co. was established and focused on passive microwave components.  A year later the two companies joined forces to become Continental Microwave and Tool and expanded their capabilities and product offerings.

In 2001, Cobham acquired the assets of the Microwave Products Division of Airtron that included the flat plate antenna array line.  In 2005, Cobham moved the complementary microwave product lines of Atlantic Microwave Corporation to Exeter and acquired the assets of Microwave Development Company.  In 2008, Cobham acquired the RF components and subsystems business of M/A COM and moved the high performance coaxial cable manufacturing to Exeter. 

These combined resources and expanded product lines have facilitated Cobham Antenna Systems’ evolution into the industry leader it is today by offering customers more products and services than ever before. 

Cobham Antenna Systems expanded its operations in Exeter to a second building (80,000 square feet) that currently houses inventory, flex manufacturing and all aspects of cable manufacturing and test. 

Cobham Antenna Systems (Exeter, NH) is ISO-9001:2008 and AS9100 Rev B certified and in accordance with the requirements of AS9104A. The stringent guidelines set forth in these standards ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability.
