Auto-optimisation tools are not new, but they usually require manual intervention if a globally-optimal solution is to be found. Simulation times often make such a process impractical. The Opera Optimizer automatically selects and manages an extensive family of goal-seeking algorithms to eliminate the need for manual intervention, making optimisation feasible in virtually all design cases. Additional constraints may be added to the optimisation and user specified termination criteria applied. Single or multiple objective functions may be selected. The Optimizer can be used in conjuction with any Opera simulation modules, allowing objective and constraint functions to be any value that can be determined using the post processing facilities. |
