Features

    1. Frequency range 5.125GHz to 5.475GHz,
    2. Power handling capability of 40W with PRF 412Hz ±10%,
    3. Switch control circuitry,
    4. 3 operating channels (transmit, receive and calibration),
    5. RS422 compatible interface

Application

C-Band RF Duplexer is designed to be used in altimeter for satellite pay-load

Architecture

Duplexer includes two strip lines channels, one which transmits and receive RF signal, and the other which calibrate the transmitted signal to the receiver as a reference.

These channels correspond to two modes of operation:

    1. Tracking mode, when T/R RF signal is connected to the antenna port and switch SRx isolate Rx from Tx during the time of transmission.
    2. Calibration mode, when T/R RF signal is isolated from the antenna by switch STx, antenna port is isolated from switch SRx and calibration couplers connect Tx to Rx.
    3. These two modes must be selected by compatible RS422 interface.

Technology

RF Duplexer includes strip line and coaxial components:

    1. Coaxial isolators and circulator
    2. Strip line 50 dB coupler
    3. Strip line PIN diodes switches
    4. Driver board for switches control
