Cobham Microwave announce the renewal of its certification ISO 9001 Version 2000, which completes with excellent results of Systems Business Unit and Sales Head Office, respectively in Plaisir (78 – France) and Grigny (91 – France).
Since the acquisition of part of Temex activities in December 2004, the Management of Cobham Microwave carried out successfully the integration and the harmonization of its centres of production specialized by product ranges (Diodes & Modules, RF Filters & Duplexers, Ferrite Devices, Systems and Waveguides). Apart from this, two Business Units have further certifications: Waveguides BU, Chichester in United-Kingdom is certified EN 9100, Diodes & Modules BU is certified ISO 14001 Version 2004, and already applies RoHS directives, imposed from July 1, 2006.
André Lever, Satisfaction Customer & Quality Director, comes back on the performance reasons: "From the start, we adopt a pragmatic and effective approach, analysing all the processes of the various sites and easily get the adhesion of collaborators to the quality culture with common processes cartography".
The new Quality System Management quickly gives good results because of the implication of collaborators and pilots of process. Cobham Microwave gives to its customers the guarantee that the design and manufacture of components and systems satisfy the required standard criteria recognized worldwide.
With those encouraging results Andre Lever, reveals next challenge: "The Certification EN 9100, in the next two years, will allow Cobham Microwave to fulfill specific quality requirements established by the members of the aircraft industry, defence and space".
